I hurt in places I didn't even know could be sore

And I am completely exhausted.

I have spent the majority of the day cleaning things and moving around furniture. The rest of the day was spent chauffeuring Abby to gymnastics, running errands for my Adam, and picking up some much needed food.

You see, we live in a very small 2 bedroom apartment. We had discussed moving into a rental house when our lease was up last month, but we decided to stick through another year and then get a rental or find some other options. Apparently we underestimated some changes Will was about to be going through, and now he is absolutely crazy and destructive (a 2 year old boy destructive? How did we not see this coming?) and he and Abby just could NOT share a room for one more day. Unfortunately, we have had him in our room before too and that is equally insane and inhibitive, so we had to improvise. Basically, Will lives in the living room now, haha. Yay! His toy shelves line one wall and his mattress is shoved behind the couch to be pulled out at night, but its only for a year. We make it through the year and then we can get the kids into their own rooms. Since we moved Will out of Abby's room, I decided Adam and I should get the master bedroom back and Abby could have the smaller room now since she wasn't sharing anymore. Good idea, but a lot lot lot of work. Its mostly done though. Everything is an absolute mess but the furniture and stuff is moved into the correct room at least. A lot of Abby's things are old hand me downs and starting to wear out, so a lot of her furniture is just getting tossed and I am looking for some new things to purchase for her room. She is very excited to be getting her room back to herself and to get to fix it up now. She has been asking for posters - ah the poster phase! I so remember that as a kid and on into my teenage years. I can't believe she is old enough to be plastering her wall from floor to ceiling with magazine cutouts and cheap posters, haha.

Anyway, that's what I've been up to. Will doesn't seem to mind his new sleeping and living arrangements, Abby is thrilled, and Adam and I are just glad they are separated right now. Hopefully Abby will be able to get some peace now and have a place to escape to when Will is on the prowl.

Please Please Please go vote!

I have a favor to ask - please go vote for my cousin and his fiance! This is a contest for the "loveliest couple" to win free engagement photos. I would so appreciate it if you would take just a minute to click on over and vote for them.

Don't worry, I'm not asking you to vote just because I asked you to! They really ARE the loveliest couple, and I will tell you why!

My cousin is a very important person in my life - even though he is a bit younger and we haven't always lived close together. When I was in kindergarten he was born, and we spent our earliest years living just down the street from each other. My sister and I often pretended he was our little brother, and even to this day I sometimes refer to him as my "Brother-Cousin" (which can be weird, but its not, its just our funny joke). I know when I reach some sort of crisis I can call him or text him and he will help me find an answer, and whether he knows it or not he has helped me in my faith so many times over the years. He is an excellent student, a caring and hilarious person, and he loves the Lord for REAL! He isn't perfect, but he has grown to be a Godly man and is going to be a wonderful husband and Lord willing an amazing father.

Not only do I love my cousin, but he could not have chosen a more wonderful girl to be his bride. She is beautiful and sweet and funny, and she also loves the Lord and that love shines from her. She is a beautiful girl but her love for God so magnifies the beauty that she was created to be. I have not known her long, but my daughter loves her and looks up to her, and I am so glad that my daughter has someone so kind and amazing to look up to.

If you could see them together you would know they deserve these pictures. They have been through some much in their relationship, and have spent a lot of time apart from one another because of Army training my cousin, Travis, has had to attend, and because of an overseas education opportunity that Bri was able to take. Even in their relationship they have shown such maturity and love for one another, and for God. Even though many times it would have been easier for them to stay in the same town, they chose to follow where the Lord was leading and have continued to serve and put Him first rather than make an idol of their relationship. And you can tell when they look at each other and share jokes, that they really and truly are in love, and I do believe that they are the loveliest couple that could possibly hope to win these photos. They truly deserve this opportunity.

So, please vote. Please. =o)

7 Quick Takes Friday - Episode 1

1. It feels good to be blogging again. Really really good. =o)

2. Conversation that was had in my house today -
Me - "Abby where is your brother?"
Abby - "Oh, he's in the hall pooping."
    Yay.

3. Abby started gymnastics. I am very proud of her. She is so excited about it!

4. Will cracks me up non-stop. Even when he is doing something naughty its absolutely hilarious because he is just who he is. His personality is on his sleeve and there is no hiding who he is with this little man. Here is a self portrait William took of himself after he stole my camera. This picture was taken before he was caught, and then ran away, and then threw the camera and tried to say he didn't have it.

5. Have you ever heard of the Paleo diet? I looked into it. I thought about trying it. I sort of attempted to try it for a couple days. I am not going to be able to do it.

6. Abby has been watching a Mermaid show lately. I am being sucked into it. How silly! I am a grown woman! I should not be watching a mermaid show! But, yah. I guess mermaids will always be magical.

7. My youngest sister got married, and I was a bridesmaid! Abby was a flower girl, and Will a ring bearer. Here are some pictures from the wedding and our visit:

Hello! =o)

Hello!

Some of you may be wondering "where did the posts go?" And some of you have never been here and so didn't realize anything was missing. This is my same blog - same place, same me - but since I had taken a short break from blogging and decided I needed to come back to it, I wanted to start fresh. So out with the old and in with, well in with whatever ends up being worth writing about to me!

I can't promise super frequent posts. I can't promise anything super exciting. But I can promise its my life, and its real, and its an adventure for sure.

If you are interested, you can learn more about "Me" at the - you guessed it - About Me page!  Thanks for stopping in.
